Friends of Ullswater Way first contacted me in May 2022 with a proposal to create a virtual aerial tour of the Ullswater Way. It has been a great project to be involved in and it was a delight to visit the lake and its surroundings on numerous occasions in glorious autumn weather last year. As well as the aerial views from the drone I covered many miles recording 360° photographs of points of interest along the route and spent many happy hours putting the final tour together. I have to give huge thanks to Tim and Anne who helped in so many ways at all stages of this substantial project.
Unlike the Cumbria Wildlife Trust tours which focus a great deal on the flora and fauna of each reserve, this tour focuses to a much larger extent on heritage with links to further information about the Heritage Trail and commissioned Sculptures around the Ullswater Way.
