All my work up until February 2026 is presented in my portfolio, accessed from the menu above, but to help clients quickly get an idea of the different media I can provide I have picked out some particular examples of virtual tours and films below. I have provided short texts to draw attention to the different techniques featured in each one.
Virtual Tours
Dalemain Loop
I have included this example as it clearly shows the route of the walk through the chain of white dots. This Friends of Ullswater Way tour focuses on the history of the places along the way, with links to their website for more detailed information.
Skiddaw Forest
I have included this as an example of a virtual tour of an extremely large of area of land. Capturing all the ground 360s took two full days of hiking. It also shows a site before work has started, so may well need to be updated once restoration work is underway.
Smardale
This nature reserve has been included as an example of a very long reserve, that needed six aerial overviews to cover the whole site. The route can be navigated through the menu along the bottom of the tour, or via the large markers in the sky.
Films – Splitscreens
Burns Beck Moss
These two example shows the before and after of restoration work in the form of a remeandered beck, cell bund formation, a boarded walkway and other habitat features. This first features a side by side split screen showing the reserve 21 months apart. The flight is saved as a mission which can be flown as often as desired, recording exactly the same footage.
This second flight is looking ahead and so a splitscreen featuring a horizontal division was required, but this works well in showing the newly created route of the beck.
Films – Documentary
Nichols Moss
This first film tells the story of the two phases of restoration visually, with just some labelling as additional explanation. Repeat drone missions were used to create the transitions across the months, along with some time lapse sequences too.
Bowston Weir Removal
This is a more regular documentary with interviews and voiceovers, but also including some timelapse sequences and again transitions to show the river before, during and after.
