Since April I have been taking 360° photographs all over the Furness area and posting them on Google Maps. There are now 89 blue dots you can click on that take you to my photospheres and they have apparently been viewed well over 10,000 times!
Nearly all of the views are taken on public footpaths from the ground and allow anyone planning to walk these routes to get a bit of an idea of what to expect, much as Google Streetview does for car drivers.
There are a few aerial 360°s in there but I am mainly using a Ricoh Theta Z camera atop a telescopic 3 metre “selfie-stick”. In case you’re wondering, I edit myself out.
I convert some of the 360° photographs I take into Little Planet photographs, but that’s a whole different world…
