“Place” was an excellent exhibition both in Barrow and about Barrow that was very well attended not only at the preview evening on Friday 9th February 2024, but also when open to the public in the weeks that followed. I was asked by Art Gene to create a film to document the event, as I have done for a previous exhibition. What made this a slightly unusual commission was that I was also one of the exhibitors, and so had to interview myself! I had been involved in two films that were shown on a loop at the exhibition, “Re:discover Barrow, Duke Street”, and “Double Barrowed” for the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Both these films are presented and described elsewhere in this portfolio.
