The £5m Beehive Business Park sits to the South of Ulverston on the main A590 to Barrow-in-Furness road. Caddick Construction were the contractors and I was invited to return a number of times to record the work in progress. The film above, from July 2020, is my favourite showing the progress to completion of the M&S Store, the Aldi Store the Screwfix Warehouse and the Lake District Farmer’s facility, cleverly merging footage from different stages of the building. Immediately below is a final film from October 2023 that shows the fully completed park, including the Greggs and Starbucks drivethrus and the Blue Light Hub. Further down are the earlier work-in-progress films from November 2019 and July 2019.
Below are two 360° photographs taken from above the site, also in July and November, that can be directly compared with each other to show the progress. These photospheres also clearly demonstrate the business park’s proximity to the town, as well as showing Morecambe Bay and the Lake District hills on the horizon.
