One of many virtual tours of Cumbria Wildlife Trust nature reserves on which I have collaborated. An excellent way of exploring and interacting with a reserve. This can prepare you for visiting in person or replace the experience if it is not possible for you to visit. You can choose what order you wish to explore the points of interest. I get tremendous enjoyment from putting these tours together.
I had never visited Clints Quarry Nature Reserve before going to create this tour, but it was a pleasure to do so. It is not very extensive in area but the cliffs, pools, trees and grassland create a rich diversity of habitats. Consequently, the site is home to a tremendous range of flora and fauna. Although close to Egremont the site is well hidden and easily missed. The aerial view and the short film in the intro panel helps to locate the reserve within the wider landscape. I would recommend viewing in full screen mode.
