An ambitious five year project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund has made the nature reserve more accessible and the land managed with wildlife as a priority. The aim is to show how the uplands can be managed for the benefit of the wider environment, through habitat and species restoration, sustainable food production, carbon storage to help moderate climate change, cleaner water and flood alleviation through water storage.
My aerial film, showing the restoration work completed at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve over the last five years, was given it’s premiere at Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s Uplands For Everyone Conference on Thursday 13th February 2020 at Roundthorn Country House, Penrith.
