This substantial project for Whitehaven Golf Club involved filming on three days to create flyover videos of all 18 holes, plus the production of a promotional film of the facilities at the club and clubhouse. This was a big challenge and needed lots of testing and programming in advance. The flyovers of each hole were semi-automated and the longer holes required me to follow behind on a golf buggy to ensure the drone did not get out of range and to allow me to control the orbit around each green! I was having problems and thinking it was me just making mistakes until I discovered that some of the holes had been moved in the past but Google Maps that I was using to set each mission was 15 years old and so did not show these changes! It didn’t even show the new clubhouse!
