The Friends of X112 are an amazing community group who fund raise to support the continuation of the Route 11 and Route X12 bus services between Coniston, Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness since the council axed these services a number of years ago.
I was approached to produce a film and a set of photographs that could be used within a campaign to advertise and promote the group and the service. The route is very special indeed, and includes following the coast road alongside Morecambe Bay and also passing Coniston Water. Whilst the view from the air is not the same as the view from the road, my short film hopefully does demonstrate what a remarkable and varied landscape the bus passes through both ways between Barrow-in-Furness and Coniston.
