It was a real pleasure to be asked to produce this aerial video to celebrate Jonathan Denby’s wonderful garden at Yewbarrow House in Grange-over-Sands. I was also able to provide a small collection of photographs of the properties and a 360° photograph which can be explored below.

As with other videos I have created I have combined aerial footage using the drone with footage captured using a camera on a mast and from a hand held camera. This allowed me to show different aspects of the garden from a number of heights and distances. Yewbarrow House Gardens are open under the Yellow Book Scheme on the first Sunday in the month from June to September, and for groups by appointment by phoning 015395 32469. The website, which provides a lot more information can be found at yewbarrowhouse.co.uk.

Yewbarrow House has been featured in many magazines using the country’s top photographers, but none have been as successful as Colin Aldred in capturing the beauty of our gardens.  His aerial images are unique and compelling.  As a bonus Colin provided some remarkable and most unusual still images, using his advanced technology.  He is a master in his field.
