Colin Aldred’s aerial video of the Newby Bridge Hotel is superb. It shows the hotel in an entirely new light, and incorporates the views over Lake Windermere. We have given Colin’s video a prominent place on our website.
I was so pleased to have engaged Colin at Aerial Artwork to take some footage of our Lakeland Holiday cottages. He was extremely professional and easy to work with and the finished product is stunning. I would highly recommend his services.
Just a quick note of thanks, Colin, for the photography and video work that you have done for us recently. The images and video clips are superb and allow us to market our company and products in a professional and very cost effective way. Thanks again from all at Lake Coast and Dale Leisure.
Yewbarrow House has been featured in many magazines using the country’s top photographers, but none have been as successful as Colin Aldred in capturing the beauty of our gardens. His aerial images are unique and compelling. As a bonus Colin provided some remarkable and most unusual still images, using his advanced technology. He is a master in his field.
Colin has produced excellent work for us. He fulfilled the brief, worked within the parameters set by the client and ultimately produced quality images, within a very tight deadline and at a reasonable cost. I would be happy to use his services again and would recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent photographer.
I contacted Colin from AerialArtwork and set up a meeting to discuss options. Colin was very keen to take on the challenge and had excellent ideas for a short but comprehensive video. He visited the venue twice, took photographs and both video and drone images and produced a video that has been viewed over 12000 times and has reached 23.3 thousand people in the short time it has been uploaded. We would have no hesitation in recommending Aerial Artwork to promote your business and are happy to endorse their work.
We have been working with Aerial Artwork on a number of aerial films of the cottages within The Rowley Estates, including views of our properties and the local area in Cumbria and the Lake District. Colin was up and out very early in order to catch the views at sunrise and was flexible in his timing for filming. We appreciated his consideration of our guest occupancy and he fitted the filming around this seamlessly.
The editing and music choices for the films has also been great and made the entire process easy from our side. At the end, we have been delighted with his work and also appreciate that the final costing was in line with the original estimate. We are already planning the next stage of Aerial Artwork’s filming to hopefully include some sunset and lamp lit external views of the properties and some snowy or frosty footage.
Aerial Artwork were very interested in our hotel restoration project and researched the topology of the site well in advance of the photoshoot.
The Cumbrian weather behaved on the day and Colin was very enthusiastic in showing us how the heli-cam worked.
The resulting digital images were very sharp and bright. We used them on our hotel website together with one imagine being copied by a traditional sign painter for the hotel sign.
The zoomable detail on the 360° image is incredible.
Aerial Artwork gave us excellent service. At short notice and with the minimum of fuss they produced exactly the image we wanted.
We needed to find a solution to recreate an iconic aerial photo that was taken 10 years ago – then by traditional camera and a crane. Things have moved on in technology so I looked online for a solution and found Colin and his drone. Colin was a joy to work with. You could tell he cared about his work and, when I met him on the day of the shoot, this was borne out in his absolute professionalism and obvious passion for photography. Through meticulous care, Colin was able to recreate the photo we needed and I’m absolutely delighted with the finished shot. It makes a good story too! Who knows what technology will be around in another ten years time, but I know who I’ll call!
I am pleased to confirm that as leading estate agents in the South Lakeland area that we have been using the services of Colin for both aerial photography and video.
I do believe that his professionalism, innovative imaging and work does generate a most positive response to properties that we are marketing. They are particularly successful in linking the subject property with the surrounding hinterland area.
I have no hesitation in recommending his services to you.
Colin has helped enormously with photographing the conservation work we are currently undertaking on Birkrigg Common, near Ulverston, to preserve, protect and better understand nationally important archaeological sites. The images captured have allowed us to see the site from a different perspective, whilst capturing progress and stunning views over Morecambe Bay. Colin is happy to discuss project requirements and progresses quickly with survey work, in a professional manner.
My family and I have two self catering cottages on our working farm in Kirkcudbrightshire, South West Scotland. We have our own website with professional photographs of the cottages and the farm; however, aerial photography and videos have taken things one step further. Colin prepared a short video and some amazing photographs for us so that our guests could really see where they would be holidaying! The short film really captures the beauty of the stunning coastal scenery and farmland at Ross from above.
We feel the experience of being able to see as far as the eye can see can be appreciated by the aerial footage. Colin was knowledgeable and approachable in preparing and editing the footage to a video which we enjoy watching repeatedly. To top things off, he chose some great relaxing background music. We are extremely pleased with this new addition to our website. Thank you, Colin – we would highly recommend.
It has been a time saving God-send to get this detailed image of a new community garden site and has allowed us to quickly map wildflowers across the site with a view to planning future improvements.
