Fourth Year!

I am delighted to report that the CAA accepted my re-application and I was granted my fourth Permission for Commercial Operation. My CAA number is 1281. On September 11th I started my fourth year of providing high quality aerial photography and filmmaking. I have added the DJI Mavic Pro drone to my “fleet”!

I have recently finished work for Sam Smiths Breweries, a local school and Cumbria Wildlife Trust. There are five other projects I am currently involved in at various stages: three for environmental groups, one charity and one global business!

Wetland Creation – Gilpin River – Morecambe Bay Partnership

CLICK HERE to see and read all about the latest project added to my portfolio. I have documented the creation of a new wetland area for Annabelle Kennedy, the Natural Heritage Officer at Morecambe Bay Partnership. There are before and after photographs and 360° photographs, including this one:

The Rowley Estates

Here are the very satisfying results of many months of planning, capturing and editing through the summer and autumn of 2016. These eight promotional videos feature aerial footage that attempt to do justice to these stunning properties available to book as holiday homes at http://www.therowleyestates.com. It was a big challenge to put these together to effectively show the properties in the context of their surroundings, but I hope viewers feel I have gone at least some way to achieving this. A collection of photographs were completed for each property too, some of which can be seen below.

3000 visitors

Every visitor to my website is of course equally important, but everyone likes round numbers and so I am pleased to announce this latest milestone!

Perhaps the more significant thing is that visitor numbers have been steadily increasing since I launched my new website. I have endeavoured to document and present the work I have completed as clearly and thoroughly as possible. I have enjoyed doing this and I hope you enjoy viewing it.

Of course, if you like what you see and feel you could make use of my services, I would be delighted to provide you with a quote.

NEW WEBSITE!

website

May I invite you to visit my recently upgraded website! I am so pleased with the beautiful clean layout, and I have worked hard to make it as easy as possible to navigate. The new site features direct links to all my most successful projects, and the many testimonials from satisfied clients. If you are looking for aerial photography or video for your business, please get in touch if you like what you see here. I operate my drone for filmmaking and photography throughout Cumbria, the Lake District and the North West.

Lake Coast and Dale Leisure, Carnforth

In August Lake Coast and Dale Leisure contacted me about providing them with aerial photographs and an aerial video of their site just north of Carnforth to be used to publicise their static holiday home business. Despite the close proximity of road and rail, I was able to safely acquire the photographs and video footage I needed, and in addition to a collection of photographs I was able to create a longer video, and a shorter video to use on social media. I am pleased to say they were more than happy with the results.

AERIAL ARTWORK EXHIBITION

My exhibition of aerial photographs has now opened at The Forum in Barrow-in-Furness and will be on display throughout the whole of December and January. It really has been great fun putting it all together. I would be so pleased if you could find time to visit the show, and I hope you like the prints that I have chosen to display. I would be so grateful if you could share this post to let as many people as possible know about the exhibition. Thank you very much!

AERIAL ARTWORK PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Just a week to go now. On Monday 5th December an exhibition of my art photographs will go on display at The Forum in Barrow-in-Furness and will be open to the public throughout December and January.

I am currently in the process of making my final selection of images, which is not easy! There should be around 30 photographs, plus a TV screen showing a number of aerial videos.

It has been a busy year and I have enjoyed the challenge of producing aerial photography and video for a wide variety of clients for different purposes, but as we now move into the quieter winter period I am enjoying focusing for a time on the artwork I have produced for myself.

If you enjoy my work it would be great if you were able to make it to my show, and also please like my Facebook page and/or follow me on Twitter.

More updates to follow during the coming week!
