I have just completed and uploaded a project for Whitehaven Golf Club which involved filming on three days to create flyover videos of all 18 holes, plus the production of a promotional film of the facilities at the club. Above you will find a playlist that includes all 19 films. A big thank you to Andrew Morton and the others who provided help and support during my visits.
This is my most recently completed project, and again it is a film combining aerial and regular video. It was commissioned by John O’Neill for Morecambe BID (Business Improvement District) and the video can be viewed above. The film was posted on Facebook yesterday and I am amazed that 24 hours later it had been viewed 15,491 times, shared 304 times, with 28 comments and 118 likes. I was really bowled over by so many of the positive comments about both Morecambe and my film (there are lots more comments on the shares) and I really hope Morecambe BID are pleased with the response. There is a 30 second version over on Twitter (@MorecambeBID) and I took lots of aerial photographs too, so when I get a moment I will put everything together within my projects page in the gallery. I will also provide an update on the Facebook response later in the week.
Here are the very satisfying results of many months of planning, capturing and editing through the summer and autumn of 2016. These eight promotional videos feature aerial footage that attempt to do justice to these stunning properties available to book as holiday homes at http://www.therowleyestates.com. It was a big challenge to put these together to effectively show the properties in the context of their surroundings, but I hope viewers feel I have gone at least some way to achieving this. A collection of photographs were completed for each property too, some of which can be seen below.
In August Lake Coast and Dale Leisure contacted me about providing them with aerial photographs and an aerial video of their site just north of Carnforth to be used to publicise their static holiday home business. Despite the close proximity of road and rail, I was able to safely acquire the photographs and video footage I needed, and in addition to a collection of photographs I was able to create a longer video, and a shorter video to use on social media. I am pleased to say they were more than happy with the results.
This promotional video I completed for Cumbria Kart Racing Club was immediately uploaded to their Facebook page this afternoon and after just 6 hours it has had 4.1K views so it seems to be having the desired effect!
A big thank you to Malcolm Fell for trusting me with this project. It was an exciting challenge to create something more dynamic than many of the other videos I have recently created, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Earlier this year I contributed the aerial video sequences for this promotional video produced by Outset Pictures for Tony Roberts Carpets Direct Ltd based up at Whitehaven. It is hard to tell but it was quite a blustery day! A big thank you to Outset Pictures for offering me the work. I think they have done a great job putting the final video together.
Here is a slide show of some photographs I took for Wates Construction of the new Resolution Building built for BAE on the Ramsden Dock Road in Barrow-in-Furness. They were taken in September, just prior to BAE taking possession of the store. Below is a link to an article featuring one of my photographs.
I like the fact that I have been asked to do so many different kinds of job since starting my Aerial Artwork business. Earlier in the summer I was given the challenge by Willerby to recreate a photograph from 10 years back. In 2006 a photograph was taken at Holgates’s Far Arnside Holiday Park of Willerby’s newest lodge. Ten years on they were siting their latest lodge in the exact same place, and wanted a photograph to match as closely as possible. A crane had apparently been used a decade ago but this time I used my drone to get into the same position. I will let you judge how well I matched it. Below are the photographs and the page from their magazine featuring the article.
It is always very enjoyable to be asked by estate agents to photograph impressive properties in stunning locations. Being able to get a little way above the property it is possible to give a clear and enticing view of both the layout of the property and grounds, and its location within the local environment. This property on a hillside not far from Ulverston has views towards both Morecambe Bay and the mountains of the Lake District and hopefully these photographs are encouraging potential buyers to go and have a closer look at what this home and separate holiday cottage has to offer. I loved the challenge of creating this single shot aerial video for Lakeland to advertise their revamped store in Windermere! At the time of writing this has had close to 7000 views on their Facebook page!
